What is different about being in an IB class?
IB stands for International Baccalaureate. When you go to an IB school and participate in IB classes, you are involved in an education that is very challenging. IB schools are required to provide useful, challenging classes that meet international standards of excellence. An IB class should feel different than most standard classes because IB classes are not just about understanding facts and being able to prove that you know things. Excellence in an IB class means that not only do you know a lot of things, you can also learn new things and communicate effectively about how you feel about the things you know.
Example:
- Knowing about Separation of Powers = "A" or "B" work in most standard classes.
- Explaining how you would improve upon the current Separation of Powers = "A" or "B" work in IB classes.
